People's Care Behavioral Health, PCBH is a new branch of the People's Care family that is quickly becoming the leader in behavioral therapy for children and youth with autism. We are leading the way in innovative autism treatment. We use technology and the latest research to serve our clients and provide world class training for all of our employees. Therapists receive an iPad tablet to collect data in the field, allowing data collection to be streamlined and easily analyzed. We offer frequent field supervision and training by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and have many opportunities for growth throughout your career. Group supervision BCBA hours are available at the office as well as paid drive time. People's Care Autism Services PCBH strives to enhance the lives of children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disabilities and their families so that they may achieve independence, inclusion and an improved quality of life.
Behavioral Therapists are required to hold a Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field. Behavioral therapists must complete lecture and field training and competency exams.
To work with children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in a 1:1 setting and with their families as part of a clinical team.
To build relationships and make learning fun for each child
To implement behavior plans and interventions as directed by the Clinical Supervisor and/or Program Manager .
To target skills goals as directed by the Clinical Supervisor and/or Program Manager.
To work with parents on teaching skills goals.
To collect data on the child's behaviors and progress with goals as directed by the Clinical Supervisor and/or Program Manager.
To collaborate with the clinical team during team meetings.
To attend and participate in on-going trainings, in-service sessions, and other meetings as scheduled.
Must have prior experience working with children diagnosed with Autism.
Must have knowledge in Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy.
Must have training in Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy.
The Behavior Therapist position requires BA/BS in Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, Human Services or related field and experience with autism. Courses taken in ABA Therapy is a plus.
This position will require all Candidates to be at least 21 years of age (to drive for People's Care), possess a valid California Driver's License, auto registration and auto insurance. Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to background check, physical etc. If required to drive, candidate must possess proof of valid insurance and auto registration.
