2. Job Summary

The Human Resources Recruiter/sourcer is responsible for the day to day functions of the recruiting department including but not limited to recruiting, screening, interviewing, reference checks, posting jobs, using social media to recruit, and makes offers.

3. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledge Required: Knowledge of state and federal laws, knowledge of human resources principles and practices, knowledge of accounting principles, knowledge of HRIS & ATS systems, knowledge of company and department policies and procedures.

Abilities:

  • Ability to develop a high volume and high quality pipeline of candidates under very tight timelines and with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player with a high sense of urgency
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter who can take the initiative
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong influencing, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Must have exceptional phone and research skills
  • Social media recruiting
  • Job boards postings

4. Education and Experience

  • Minimum Education: AA Degree, Bachelors Degree preferred in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in the human resources field and recruiting/sourcing.

5. Essential Functions

  • Works either alone or with a recruitment partner to identify a diverse talent pool for existing and future positions (open, and anticipated) to develop and execute the search strategy, including creating target list of competitor companies, target titles, names of individuals in similar positions and anticipated time frame of the search
  • Identify, interview and deliver internal and external candidates to the Professional Recruiting Team
  • On a daily basis, tracks open positions, identifies potential candidates, screen resumes, conduct phone screen interviews, coordinate and communicate with hiring managers. Prepare a candidate brief for qualified candidates to present to recruiter for further review
  • Create an external brand with the aligned talent pools for the area supported
  • Create and manage job postings on our various job sites (i.e. Craig’s List, Indeed, Universities, LinkedIn, Monster, etc.)
  • Capture and report on key metrics that show results, trends and opportunities in key talent markets and supported business
  • Ensure all data is captured, updated and reported properly
  • Utilize creative sourcing tools and resources that improve candidate relationship development
  • Follows-up throughout the entire interviewing process for new candidates while communicating with hiring managers and hiring team

7. Physical Requirements

The Human Resource Representative works at the corporate office location and may also be out in the field traveling to and from locations, as needed. Frequent sitting, fingering, twisting, hearing, talking, repetitive motions, reaching, with occasional bending, standing, walking, driving, squatting, stooping, and

lifting of 25 lbs.

8. Other Requirements

This position will require a valid California ID or Driver’s License. Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to background check, physical etc. If required to drive, candidate must possess proof of valid insurance and registration.
