Job Summary

  • The House Lead is responsible to assist the Administrator with the coordination of the home so that the residents' health and safety needs are met. The House Lead assists to maintain compliance under the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 17 and Title 22 as well as the Lanterman Act (Welfare and Institutions Code). The House Lead is expected to ensure residents to maximize independence.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, DSP I & II, CPR/FA, and CPI certification; RSO,RCFE, ARF certificates preferred
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting and 6 months supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum Driving Experience:  Must have a valid in-state driver’s license, be comfortable driving an 8-10 passenger van, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.

Essential Functions

  • Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan
  • Assist clients with bathroom needs
  • Change clients' under garments and/or clothing if needed
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up
  • Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
